In the following, you'll find some information about our school together with some important news.

Note that all the most important news about the school (including closures and health information) will be published in the Home Page both in Italian and English. Feel free to contact us if you need any additional information in English: our staff will be happy to help you.

The presence of English speaking staff is guaranteed during opening hours.

Who are we?

The "Don Luigi Mari" kindergarden traces its origins back to 1902, when it was founded by the priest himelf. 

The silver thread throughout our history has always been the education of pupils as proactive citizens, focusing on enhancing their personal skills. Our pedagogical and cultural backgrounds originate from the learnings of the Catholic Church.

Instead of imposing notions, our educational approach is based on the following cornerstones:

  • Encouraging interpersonal relations among children and between them and adults;
  • Promoting the importance of playing as means of interaction and instruction;
  • Supporting the importance of hands-on activities to gain real-life experience with nature, objects, materials and socio-cultural aspects.

We strongly encourage the creation of a diverse and welcoming environment. This variety is also shown in the richness of experiences of our teaching staff: three teachers (Elisabetta, Fabiola and Sister Maria Luisa) and three nuns (sister Antonietta, sister Jenny and sister Fransiska).
